The Medium Duty Bolt-On Auger System is one of the most popular augers for utility derrick trucks. Changeable auger heads, teeth, extensions and pilots enable crews to drill through everything from sand to fracturable rock without having to change the auger. For our customers' convenience, Jeffrey Machine sells this auger in the three most popular set-ups. Medium Duty Dirt, Medium Duty Carbide and Medium Duty Bolt-On Bullet. Buy one of the basic set-ups that best suits your area and then add additional shanks, pilots and bits to greatly extend the auger's usefulness. This auger system is manufactured with 3/8" thick flighting sections as standard. |

The
auger stem is 3 3/4" O.D. C-1026 heavy wall tubing. Hex Hubs
and boring heads are constructed of durable cast steel.
Unlike similar augers on the market, the Jeffrey Machine auger has an extra start of a flighting on augers 18" and larger which we call a gusset. This gusset helps to provide added strength to the boring head as well as stabilize the auger to keep it from "walking away". This also results in less wear and tear on the auger, digger drive and derrick.
