boring heads

This boring head comes standard on our Medium Duty Augers, with the exception of the medium and light duty rock augers. Shown in this model is the 18" boring head equipped with shank plates for flat teeth, a PA-183-L extension with an FH-205 "fish tail" pilot bit. The boring head is welded to the flighting and the auger stem. It is available in 6" to 48" sizings.

The boring head provides versatility by allowing a wide range of various shanks, teeth, extensions and pilots to be used. No matter what type of soil condition a utility crew is faced with, a quick change of bolt-on accessories is all that is required to take on virtually any challenge.
